Why WordPress?

We build all websites using the WordPress operating system.

WordPress is one of the most popular website content management systems on the market. We like WordPress because there are tens of thousands of programmers skilled in the operating system.

More importantly, because of WordPress’s popularity, there are thousands of apps (called “plugins” in WordPress speak). If you have a need for a special function on your website there is probably an app for that in the Plugin Library.

Using WordPress plugins can save many hours of programming.

We also like WordPress because unlike many of these cloud based platforms, when we are done we hand the keys off to you and you own  your website.  Which means you are not tied to any one hosting company or hosting platform.

Is WordPress Easy To Learn

With all of these capabilities you might think WordPress CMS will be hard to learn. Well that depends on your technical skill.

There are numerous online resources to help you learn. Just Google “How to Learn WordPress” or type it into the YouTube search bar. Training options range from beginner courses to courses for the more experienced and plenty of self-help options also. Some have costs associated with classes while others are free.

A good place to start is: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-learn-wordpress-for-free-in-a-week-or-less/
There you will find blogs and videos. Don’t let the thought of coding dissuade you, WordPress doesn’t require coding.  Check out the multiple resources available to you and start building your website today.

While WordPress can be challenging to learn, the many Page Builder plugins availabel, mitigates much of the complexity required to learn WordPress.  We use Divi and Elementor builders.  Which are more user friendly for basic editing.
